Gostkowski’s In, Connolly’s Out

Do you want the good news or the bad news?

Good news is that Gostkowski signed a 4 year, $17 mil deal with the Pats before the deadline yesterday.

The bad news, isn’t exactly bad, it’s just a bummer. After ten seasons of football, team captain and veteran OL Dan Connolly has decided to retire. Connolly said his decision was mostly based on health. He’s had five concussions (four in the NFL), and didn’t want to risk another, saying that he wanted to make sure he was able to be there for his three girls. A Super Bowl win also helped him come to terms with the decision to retire.
