There will be no neutral arbitrator to hear Brady’s appeal on his 4 game suspension. The NFL Players Association specifically requested someone other than Goodell hear the case, but the Commissioner wants this one for himself. The league said in a statement, “Commissioner Goodell will hear the appeal of Tom Brady’s suspension in accordance with the process agreed upon with the NFL Players Association in the 2011 collective bargaining agreement.”
It might probable for Brady to get his suspension dropped or reduced had a neutral party heard the case, but it’s much less likely now that Goodell is hearing the case himself. We’ll have to wait and see what happens, but for now join the campaign to Free Brady and get your gear here.
