Opening Day at Fenway is next Monday and you can certainly expect to see some changes! America’s oldest ballpark added 174 new seats, stronger WiFi, new ribbon boards and an interactive video wall for fans to take pictures in front. In addition to the new seats and technological updates, Fenway as added some new roots…literally. They’ve opened a rooftop garden behind the Green Monstah!
The garden, named Fenway Farms, will grow vegetables to be served at their concession stands. It’s unsure in what capacity the food will be used, or if this will lower food prices. In addition to adding some local elements to their concessions, the garden will be used as an educational tool for Boston’s youth.
As if there wasn’t enough to love about Fenway already! This is a wicked awesome!
