Well, we’ve made it to week 11 of Top Chef Boston and there’s only one week left here in the Hub before the (remaining) contestants head to Mexico for a three, yes THREE, part finale. The contestants have covered a lot of ground here in Boston and New England but the landmarks and competitions never get old! They’ve cooked at Fenway Park, Plymouth Plantation and everywhere in between! They even had a guest appearance from Gronk; who came on to judge sausages.
This week, the contestants had to catch Oysters in Duxbury and prepare them in Rockport before returning to a Gloucester beach house; that covers much of Massachusetts fishing life (Sorry New Bedford).
At Chowdaheadz, we’re just glad the competition was around Oysters and NOT Clams – that would hit a little too close to home!
Having Top Chef here has really highlighted the culinary scene in Boston. We’ve always been known for a lot of things but not so much our food; except of course our famous Clam Chowdah! Much like the diversity of our people, the food scene here has just about everything!
While we’re sad to see Top Chef go, we’ll always have Wahlburgers; which premiered last week with a guest appearance from Big Papi.
Thank you for showcasing our great city, Bravo!
