Boston Hockey is Back!

The Bruins started their season at the Garden on Wednesday night.  They took on the Philadelphia Flyers with a 2-1 victory by goals from Reilly Smith and Chris Kelly.   Goalie Tuukka Rask finished the game with 19 saves!  It wasn’t either teams best performance but it was a good game 1!

On Thursday night, the B’s weren’t as lucky as they fell to the Red Wings 2-1.  Detroit had a few advantages in the match up: it was their first game of the season, they were on their home ice and they had not played the night before.  These things wouldn’t matter as much if it were the middle of the season but when it’s this early, it’s a lot of wear and tear.  Regardless of their loss, the B’s looked good last night!  They nearly tied it up at the end of the 3rd but Marchand’s shot got hit off the side of the goal.

The Bruins will be back in Boston on Saturday for a 7pm game against the Capitals.
