If you haven’t seen the HBO documentary, “Life According to Sam”, you should. It is the story of a young man, Sam Berns, who is living with a rare genetic disease known as Progeria.
Sam lived with this parents in Foxborough, Mass and was a huge Chowdahead. He was even supposed to be the honorary captain for Saturday night’s Pats game against the Colts. Unfortunately, he passed away on Friday.
Sam and his parents, who are both doctors, have been working to find a cure for Progeria since he was diagnosed at a young age. They’ve brought awareness to something that had little research and treatment before them.
Sam’s life and legacy, in the documentary, will leave you inspired and put all of your problems into perspective.
