Clay Buchholz has shown that he can be a great pitcher and a top of the rotation type of guy. He is 27 years old and his resume includes a no-hitter and a 17-7 season that featured a 2.38 ERA (2010). He has the potential to be the guy that you always count on to put your team in a position to win. Let’s face it, even the best hurlers in baseball are only good for 6-7 starts before they due for a less than stellar performance, nobody does it for an entire season with out a few hiccups. Clay is becoming that dependable pitcher that many thought he could be and is moving up the ladder. Can he be an Ace for this team, not so sure but all we need him to be is a King (or maybe a Queen, but that term is less than enduring).
