More trade rumors swirling about Celtics PG Rajon Rondo after much speculation he could be shipped out prior to the start of the abridged 2011-2012 NBA season. Rondo has been his usual self this season – a freakish athlete with an incomparable motor capable of putting up a triple double on any given night and simultaneously a hot-headed liability to them team. Number 9 was recently suspended for hurling the ball at a referee for failing to call a foul when he got hacked and was caught on camera cursing a different ref with what appeared to be (if you read lips) a common racial slur. It seems like time for Boston to rebuild their franchise, so many knew a big trade could be on the horizon – the surprising fact is that at this point in the season they are looking to move the player who could bee the future of the franchise. Speculation was that one of the “Big 3” would be moved in order to put together a younger team, but maybe Danny Ainge is finding out that Rondo is the only trade bait with any real value on the team. Things could get interesting for the Celtics in the coming days so keep your eye on this story as it develops.
