Gronk Sets Record As Pats Sneak Past Skins

Rob Gronkowski scored his 15th Touchdown of the year, setting the single season TD reception record for Tight Ends in the Patriots 34-27 victory at FedEx Field. The Pats topped the Washington Redskins thanks to Tom Brady playing like his usual stellar self, throwing for 357 yards and 3 TDs. Brady was seen in a heated argument with Offensive Coordinator Billy O’Brien after he threw a pick in the fourth quarter…a testament to his reputation as an unwavering perfectionist.

The Patriots quarterback will have to be close to perfect if Belichick’s boys are going to win another Superbowl this year. The Packers won again today, crushing Oakland in a lopsided beating. Green Bay has yet to lose a game and are beginning to close in on a shot at the Pats’ 16-0 regular season record. If the Patriots were able to run through the AFC (they appear to be the best team in the conference right now) they would have their hands full with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, who have played flawless football for the past calendar year.

Next week New England will have to try and stop the Tim Tebow train, which is still rolling after yet another come from behind victory for Denver. It will be interesting to see what the Hoodie cooks up to guard against Tebow and the Broncos’ option attack. As long as Brady plays like Brady, the Pats should be able to win a shootout in the Mile High City next Sunday.
