Floyd Money Mayweather Bet $1 Million On Brady To Beat Tebow
They don’t call him “Money” for nothin’. Floyd Mayweather allegedly bet $1 Million on the Patriots to beat Tim Tebow’s Broncos on December 18. Mayweather is about to serve a 90 day prison sentence due to a domestic violence conviction, so he might not be able to use those funds for awhile – but it was a superb bet nonetheless. If every Patriots fan had a million bucks to throw around, they probably would have put it on Brady to beat Tebow. Everyone in New England knew Tebowmania was coming to a halt once the Pats got to Denver. Mayweather may be a man of questionable character, but I salute him for not falling into the Tebow trap. Celtics Lose Again, Fans Anxiously Await Return Of Pierce
The Celtics fell to the Hornets on Wednesday night, dropping to 0-3 on the season. The question now is, are Celtics fans panicking or simply waiting for the return of Paul Pierce? Truth is slotted to come back for Friday’s home opener against Detroit. Pierce should add some much needed scoring and the first two losses were against top teams (Miami, New York). But New Orleans? Didn’t they just lose Chris Paul, their only good player? Some guy named Jarett Jack was the game’s leading scorer with 21 points. I’m a little concerned by that one. What do you think, Celts fans? Is it time to panic or will Pierce restore order when he returns?
Bruins Show Guts, Win In Overtime
David Krejci scored 47 seconds into the game and the Bruins didn’t light the lamp again until Overtime, pulling out a gut wrenching 2-1 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes on Wednesday night. Less than a minute into OT Dennis Seidenberg threw the puck toward the net from the point and it looked like either Chris Kelly or Phoenix defenseman Derrick Morris tipped it down between Jason LaBarbera’s legs for the game ending score (Seidenberg was credited with the goal). The Bruins look simply unstoppable as of late and will enjoy a few days rest before playing the Stars in Dallas on Saturday night.
SHOCKING: Belichick Lied About Brady On Injury Report
Tom Brady missed his second strait practice Thursday with a left shoulder injury. The Patriots classified Brady’s absence at Wednesday’s practice as “Non-Injury related” but reports have trickled out suggesting Brady has a separated left shoulder. The QB is projected to play in the Patriots’ final regular season game against the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, so apparently the injury is not too severe.
No shocker here: Belichick’s injury reports are always closer to farce than fact. The Hoodie has been doing this for decades. He’s not going to give the media ANYTHING…EVER. Personally, I enjoy listening to reporters and pundits whine about Belichick’s phony injury reports and stuffy press conferences. He’s just THAT much smarter than those microphone wielding leeches. Expect Brady to play and play well on Sunday. And expect Belichick to pump out another fake injury report before their first game of the playoffs.

Sox Acquire Closer Bailey
From BostonHerald.com
“ESPN.com’s Buster Olney is reporting that (Andrew) Bailey has been traded to the Red Sox in a deal that involves right fielder Josh Reddick. Bailey, eligible for arbitration for the first time after making only $465,000 this year, would be under the Red Sox control for the next three seasons.”
Finally, the Red Sox are making some moves. It has been pretty quiet around Fenway since Tito and Theo left town. Red Sox Nation has been chomping at the bit waiting for Cherington to add some serious pitching to this ball club. The Bailey move means Bard can become a starter and fill out our rotation. No one is sure how well Bard will do as a starter, but experts agree on one thing: he can’t be worse than Lackey.

Celtics Lose To Heat, But No Need To Panic
Rookie Norris Cole hit 2 clutch jump shots to ruin the Celtics fourth quarter comeback against the Heat on Tuesday night. Boston managed to come back from a 20 point third quarter deficit only to have their hopes crushed by Cole. Despite opening the season with 2 losses, the Celtics have shown signs of strength, going down to the wire against 2 of the East’s best teams without Paul Pierce. Losing hurts, but it’s tough to beat the Knicks and Heat without arguably your most important player. Don’t hit hte panic button yet, The Truth looks to return for the Home opener against Detroit on Friday.
Even if PP 34 does not take the floor on Friday, I wouldn’t be too concerned.
Pierce participated in pre-game warm ups and dunked the ball several times, so his injury appears to be OK … he just isn’t in NBA shape yet after missing all of camp. The Celtics are not going to put too much strain on any of their aging Vets, as they will need to save whatever is left in the tank for one final postseason run.
