John Henry broke his Tuesday today via twitter, addressing Red Sox front office decisions for the first time since the end of the season:
“@John_W_Henry Another productive day this week at Fenway. Tom, Larry and I were briefed by Theo and Ben on the managerial search. Due diligence this week.”
Later on in the day, Henry added another statement to ease Red Sox fans’ minds:
“We got the manager’s search right eight years ago with Tito and Maddon as finalists. We’ll secure a great manager this time as well.”
John Henry laid low during the storm that followed the Sox collapse. Now that the chaos has died down a bit, it’s nice to hear the principle owner come out and give Red Sox Nation some peace of mind. He said all the right I’d be willing to wager the Sox find a spectacular successor to Terry Francona. The Red Sox will be fine because John Henry knows exactly what he’s doing.
