Boston fans got a special treat yesterday as the Yankees and Jets both lost key games.
The Detroit Tigers topped the Yanks 5-3 at Yankee Stadium to even the Playoff Series at 1-1. The Yankees must now face Cy Young shoe-in Justin Verlander at Comerica Park tonight. New York counters with CC Sabathia, so this should be quite the duel but the way Verlander is hurling this year I’d give the edge to Detroit at home. Put your best Yankees Suck T-Shirt on and tune in to TBS at 8:37 ET tonight for what should be the best match up of this young Post-Season. Go Tigers!
The Ravens Defense manhandled Mark Sanchez to secure a 34-17 victory in Baltimore. Sanchez finished with a pathetic stat line: 11 of 35 for 119 passing yards 0 TDs and 1 interception. He was sacked twice and recorded 4 fumbles, eliminating any chance for the Jets to win this one.
It’s great to see Sanchez get his confidence shot, because the Jets travel to Gillette Stadium this Sunday to take on the Patriots. Rex Ryan must be fuming right now as his former Defense got the best of him on National TV last night. The build up for Pats-Jets should be all the more entertaining with a frustrated Rex Ryan babbling to the Media. Ryan always seems to deliver a plethora of obnoxious sound bites prior to playing the Patriots, and this week should be no different.
It’s a great time to hate New York. Get your rivalry gear at Chowdaheadz.com today !
