While Boston Fans Watch The Stanley Cup, Beckett Secretly Pitches a Career Game

Most Bostonians were busy watching the Bruins last night, so you might not know that Josh Beckett pitched one of the best games of his career.

Beckett hurled a complete game 1-hit shutout against the Tampa Bay Rays last night, improving to 6-2 on the season. The legendary veteran seems to be experiencing a resurgence after a down year last season and a spring training where he missed time due to a concussion. Beckett has probably been the sweetest surprise for Red Sox fans this season. It’s great to see Josh back on top!

Youk came through in the 7th with a 3-run bomb to put up the only runs of the gane. Clay Buchholtz takes the mound as the Sox wrap up their series at the Trop tonight at 7:10.
