Bruins continue to scuffle, lose to Thrashers

The Boston Bruins have fell on hard times as of late as a 4-1 thrashing by the Atlanta Thrashers on Sunday night handed the B’s their second consecutive loss as the Bruins are winless in four of their last five games.

Atlanta defenseman Dustin Byfuglien had a goal and three assists and Ondrej Pavalec made 40 saves to help the Thrashers win their fifth straight game.

Boston came into the contest with a 10-game winning streak against Atlanta, but couldn’t keep the streak alive as Tuukka Rask continued his struggles between the pipes, allowing four goals as Rask fell to 1-6-1 on the season.

The Bruins (12-8-2, 26 pts) have a few days to practice and rest up before Wednesday’s matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers (15-6-4, 34 pts).
