Celtics beat Nets, Lose West

The Boston Celtics beat the New Jersey Nets 89-83 on Wednesday night but may have lost reserve point guard Delonte West in the process.

Boston proved their worth in a win against the upstart Nets on Wednesday but could have lost West to a wrist injury, which could cost them in the mean time with injuries to Rajon Rondo and Jermaine O’Neal.

Shaquille O’Neal had his second consecutive double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds over 32 minutes of play as Paul Pierce (18 points) and Ray Allen (15 points) helped Boston overcome a second-half deficit to surge past the Nets in the second half at the TD garden on Wednesday.

Without Rondo, the Celtics used Nate Robinson and Shaq (all 345 pounds of the Big Diesel) to push past the Nets as the Shamrock recorded his second straight double-double to give the C’s their second straight victory.

New Jersey gave the Celtics fits through the first two quarters before the C’s outscored the Nets by eleven in the second half to give the Green and Celtic fans a reason to be thankful heading into Thanksgiving day.

The Celtics (11-4) have Thanksgiving day off before hosting the Toronto Raptors on Friday at the TD Garden.
