Boston Bruins forward David Krejci underwent successful surgery on Thursday to repair a dislocated right wrist and will miss the remainder of the playoffs.
The injury occurred in the first period of Wednesday’s playoff win over the Philadelphia Flyers, which gave the Bruins a 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Krejci had surgery at the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is expected to be fully recovered for the start of the 2010-11 season.
The 24-year-old Czech native totaled four goals and four assists over nine games in the postseason and had 17 goals and 35 assists in 79 games during the regular season.
Boston selected Krejci in the second round of the 2004 NHL Draft. In 223 career games over four seasons, he has totaled 45 goals and 152 points. -Full Story
