Rangers Shut Out B’s At Madison Square Garden
The Boston Bruins continued its pattern of winning a game then losing a game on Sunday as the B’s lost 1-0 to the New York Rangers, a day after defeating the Edmonton Oilers.
The lone goal of the contest came in the second period as Marian Gaborik snuck the puck past Tim Thomas to deliver the game’s only goal and the Rangers their ninth win of the season. Boston (6-6-1) managed only 29 shots on Henrik Lundqvist and couldn’t capitalize in the third period when the B’s had four straight minutes of power-play time.
The Bruins are set to head to Detriot to face the Red Wings on Tuesday, marking the middle game of a tough three-game stretch for the Black and Gold. The B’s will then face the Montreal Canadiens at the Garden on Thursday.
