Celtics Leon Powe Undergoes Surgery

Boston Celtics forward Leon Powe had surgery on his torn ACL and meniscus on Tuesday at the New England Baptist Hospital.

Powe injured his left knee in the second quarter of Game 2 in Boston’s first round series with the Chicago Bulls.

Danny Ainge and Powe are hopeful that the former University of California star can be ready to play by the midway point of the 2009-2010 season.
